What Is cHaoS! and Why?

For those of you who didn’t attend, ‘cHaoS! the book signing and more,’ here are the details on what cHaoS! is and why it was written and self published:

cHaoS! is for readers and writers alike. I hope it helps writers who are unsure about sharing, become more confident as well as finding the inspiration to share what you’ve written. You will most likely be surprised to learn that what you wrote is actually amazing. And for the readers this is a glimpse into the not so glamourous side. Of course you will find some amazing stories within the walls of cHaoS! but you will also find some unfinished stories as well.

This is a project that I pieced together because I didn’t want to begin the final edits for Dreamwalker. Editing is well… quite painful. You have to cut things out that you love, which sometimes means a character has to die or that a budding romance will fizz out and well… it’s sad.

There are tears, and swear words. Lots of wine. My go to wine is, ‘Love My Goat,’ from Bully Hill Vineyards. I went through all of my stories, poems, ramblings (I’m really good at rambling) put them all into some kind of order (not) and cHaoS! was born.

The Blurb.

Unseen. Unfinished. Unpublishable.

Irresistible.

Scripts, Stories, Screenplays and Ramblings for New, Old, Aspiring, Intrepid, and Secretive Writers and Readers, like you, who are just as Contrary, Chaotic and Insatiable…

2022 Success.

2022 was such a successful writing and publishing year for me not only did I publish cHaos! but I also published, ‘The Chronicles of Del Plazo: The Vallejo’ in November 2022. Chronicles of Del Plazo is a fantasy anthology that follows Alexia along with a strong cast of characters. They live on the lonely land mass of Del Plazo that has been torn asunder, leaving behind thirteen islands and devastation amongst its people. Now a decade has passed, and most have tried to find normality, but mysteries abound that seem to lead to one thing: Total destruction.

Explore the islands and discover the rich diversity between them; the struggles of the persecuted, the triumphs of the righteous, and the deeds of the foolish. Why have women been disappearing? Why has magic been banned? What is the mysterious Being held captive under the mighty volcano, on Inis Lamach? Who are the Aardsmen? And who has seen the island in the sky?

What’s Next.

Of course I have a lot of irons in the fire, but first and foremost, ‘Del Plazo: Volume II’ is in the works. There will be more creatures in the dark, magick, raven children and more. My main goal for 2023 is to finish final edits for ‘Dreamwalker’ and get her published. A novel that I began writing four years ago to the day. A novel that I’ve shelved so many times because of all of the variables. A passion project.

I specialise in writing short stories, scripts, screen plays and ramblings… full length novels are terrifying and hard to write. Just when you think you’ve found all the errors, a plot hole presents itself or a time gap that didn’t seem to be a big deal… is a huge deal. Maybe I’m just dragging my feet because to me it’s not perfect.

Ah well… I shall leave you with the poster that you can see below and if you’ve read this far I truly appreciate you and hope that you’ll leave a comment. If you haven’t already done so please subscribe to my channel which you can find here on my home page: https://reneeschnebelin.com/

This poster was created for me by the Papyrus Author team after my short story was chosen as the favourite during their Turning Tales Challenge!
